This weekend we are back at the 38th incarnation of the Weston Beach Race with the Oakley marketing trailer. It was 2019 when we last visited this unique event, which takes place on Weston-super-Mare beach. The race transforms the beach into a 6-mile course with some impressive dunes for riders to tackle.
The GorillaUK team were up early on Friday to prepare and load up the branded landrover, GorillaUK vans and trailer ready for the trip to Weston-super-Mare. Today the action began in earnest and we had a prime position with Oakley to watch the action.
The Weston Beach Race is usually one of the last events in a full summer programme where we supported Oakley, managing the promotional trailer and vehicle, delivering to site and then returning to base. Each time we ensuring that the vehicle was prepared and made ready for its next outing. After the pandemic, we are looking forward to getting back into a regular schedule.
The event is claimed to be the largest event of its type in the UK and the crowds certainly turned up to make it a very successful event for Oakley, the trailer was busy the entire time.
