Event / Project background:
Vision Nine, event organisers of NASS Action Sports and Music Festival, were looking to hold a pro level BMX Dirt competition at this year’s festival and contacted Gorilla to pitch for the project. We formed a partnership with MBE Ltd., the company of BMX World Champion Kye Forte whom we had worked with previously on Red Bull’s Empire of Dirt event, and together successfully pitched and produced all aspects of the NASS BMX Dirt Arena.

Course design and build. Management of competition including judging and course maintenance.

- On site build: Temporary structures, crowd safety barriers, branding

Timescales involved:
1 month planning, design and budgeting period. 3 show days with knockout competition. 4 day on site build / 3 day break and removal of course.
Result / Outcome:
Highly successful BMX Dirt competition returned to NASS for 2014.
Feedback:
Excellent rider feedback for all elements of course – Scaffold start ramp, 3 x dirt jumps and jump box.
NASS / Vision Nine keen to develop course and competition further for 2015.
